Nicholson Bottles, 2002 to 2012, is a series of photograms of old bottles that once
held medicines, oils, and other domestic products essential to a community. I found the bottles on the site of an abandoned town in northern Ontario. The people in the town worked at the logging mill primarily making ties for the railway, when the mill was destroyed in 1930, the town was abandoned. The debris and cracks on the
bottles tell a story unique to each of them about community history and environment.
