Nicholson Bottles, 2002 to 2012, is a series of photograms of old bottles that once held medicines, oils, and other domestic products essential to a community. I found the bottles on the site of an abandoned town in northern Ontario. The people in the town worked at the logging mill primarily making ties for the railway, the town was abandoned when the mill was destroyed in 1930. The debris and cracks on each of the bottles tells a story about community history and environment.
